Oluseun Olayinka is the Executive Director of Adventure4Change, a registered Canadian charity based in Waterloo, Ontario, where she leads initiatives focused on community empowerment, equity, and social change. Deeply committed to systems transformation and inclusive leadership, she brings both strategic vision and on-the-ground experience to her work with diverse communities.
Oluseun contributes her leadership and governance expertise as a Board Member of both the Waterloo Region Health Network and Social Venture Partners (SVP) Waterloo Region, where she helps shape policy and drive collaborative social innovation. She also serves on the Equity and Inclusion Advisory Group for the Waterloo Region District School Board, supporting efforts to foster equitable learning environments for all students.
Currently pursuing a PhD at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Faculty of Social Work, Oluseun’s academic work explores community leadership, decolonizing practices, and the cultural worldviews with systems of care. She holds a Master’s degree in Managerial Psychology, a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, and a Governance Essentials Certificate from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
Oluseun’s professional journey spans several sectors and countries. Prior to relocating to Canada, she served as Business Development Manager (Africa) for ShiftIN Partners, a strategy consulting firm in the United Arab Emirates. In Nigeria, she led the Human Capital Development Unit at Paul Esther Consulting, where she designed and delivered capacity-building programs for both public and private sector organizations.
In Canada, Oluseun played a key role in supporting health systems transformation as part of the implementation team for Health Information Management System (HIMS) training at Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital. Her ability to bridge strategic thinking with culturally responsive practices continues to guide her leadership across sectors.
A lifelong learner and community builder, Oluseun is passionate about co-creating spaces where individuals, especially racialized and equity-deserving groups, can thrive. Her work is grounded in values of justice, collaboration, and deep respect for lived experience.
