Learning Objectives: By the end of the course, students will be able to: 1. Define key terms related to scriptwriting (e.g., script, scene heading, dialogue, etc.) with at least 80% accuracy on a quiz. 2. Compare and contrast the formats and structural differences between stage plays, screenplays, TV scripts, and audio dramas in a short written assignment or class discussion. 3. Identify the three-act structure in sample scripts or biblical narratives by labeling each act and its elements correctly. 4. Generate at least two original script ideas inspired by personal experience, biblical stories, or spiritual insights. 5. Writea shortsample script (1–2 pages)that includessceneheadings,action lines, dialogue, and correct formatting using standard software (e.g., Celtx, Final Draft). 6. Demonstrate effective dialogue techniques by crafting a scene where each character speaks with a distinct voice and emotional subtext. 7. Apply biblical principles in a written script excerpt by incorporating themes of transformation, faith, and hope. 8. Evaluate and revise a peer’s script excerpt, identifying areas needing improvement in dialogue, character development, or formatting.
