Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Define key terms such as adaptation, literal adaptation, and modern reinterpretation in the context of biblical drama. 2. Analyze a Bible passage to identify its core themes, characters, conflicts, and moral messages. 3. Differentiate between various types of Bible story adaptations (e.g., literal, expanded, modern, symbolic). 4. Evaluate adaptations for theological accuracy and narrative integrity, using scriptural and doctrinal criteria. 5. Design a contextualized adaptation of a selected Bible story with a clear structure and dramatic arc. 6. Develop a drama script (2–4 scenes) based on a Bible story, incorporating believable dialogue, character depth, and appropriate setting. 7. Revise an initial draft of a Bible-based script based on peer or instructor feedback for improved clarity, impact, and fidelity to the biblical message. 8. Present a short scene from their adapted Bible story in a small group or class setting for critique and reflection.
