Description
Learning Objectives: By the end of this lecture, students will be able to: 1. Identify at least five key differences between stage playwriting and screenwriting in terms of structure, format, and storytelling techniques. 2. Analyze a short scene (provided or written) to determine whether it is better suited for stage or screen, based on its elements. 3. Compare and contrast the formatting styles of a stage play and a screenplay using correct industry standards. 4. Write a 1–2 page original scene in both stage and screen formats, demonstrating appropriate dialogue, structure, and formatting conventions. 5. Evaluate how Christian themes (e.g., forgiveness, salvation, redemption) can be effectively communicated through either medium, citing specific examples. 6. Choose the appropriate medium (stage or screen) for a ministry concept or story idea and justify the choice based on audience, scope, and impact.
